A dramatic match between Tottenham and Chelsea

Cucurella slipped twice!

A dramatic match unfolded in London on Sunday afternoon. Tottenham's Dominic Solanke scored 1-0. Just five minutes later, Cucurella slipped again, allowing Dejan Kulusevski to place the ball at the left post and increase Tottenham's lead.

But then both Cucurella's luck and the game's momentum changed for Chelsea. After changing his boots, the full-back managed to assist in a goal leading to 2-1. Jadon Sancho reduced the deficit with an impressive solo goal.

After the break, Chelsea took control of the game, while Tottenham collapsed by conceding two penalties. Cole Palmer converted both penalties. Between these goals, Enzo Fernández scored a lead goal that further cemented Chelsea's dominance.

– I saw the goalkeeper preparing to dive, so I decided to chip, Palmer explained in Viaplay's broadcast.

Tottenham managed to reduce the deficit just before the end, but there wasn't enough time to catch up.

– We knew it was going to be a tough match, so it's nice that we managed to win, said Palmer afterwards.

Tottenham's coach Ange Postecoglou commented on the match with disappointment:

– This is painful. We started really well, but after losing Romero we had to change a lot, which gave Chelsea the chance to take over. We had chances to score a third goal but didn't take them, and the two penalties were also weak efforts on our part.

With the victory, Chelsea climbs to second place in the Premier League table. They are now four points behind Liverpool, who still has a game in hand after this weekend's cancelled derby.
