Neymar - One of the world's most expensive signings

Neymar's current contract runs until the summer of 2027

Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior, more commonly known as Neymar, is one of the world's most prominent football players. He was born on February 5, 1992, in Mogi das Cruzes, São Paulo, Brazil. Neymar is renowned for his technical skill, quick dribbling, and goal-scoring ability.

Neymar began his professional career at Santos FC, where he quickly became a star. He made his debut for the club's senior team in 2009, at just 17 years old. During his time at Santos, he won several titles, including the Copa do Brasil in 2010 and the Copa Libertadores in 2011. His success in his homeland led to significant international attention, and he soon became one of the most talked-about young talents in the world.

In 2013, Neymar made the move to European football by signing for the Spanish giant FC Barcelona. Here, he formed a formidable attacking trio with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, known as "MSN". During his time at Barcelona, Neymar won many titles, including La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Champions League. His performance in the 2015 Champions League final, where he scored a goal and contributed to Barcelona's victory, cemented his status as one of the world's best players.

In August 2017, Neymar completed a historic transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for a record fee of 222 million euros, making him the world's most expensive football player. At PSG, Neymar has continued to impress with his skill and goal-scoring ability, and he has been a central figure in the team's successes in Ligue 1 and European competitions. Despite some injury problems, Neymar has continued to be a key player for PSG and one of the most talked-about players in the world.

On the international level, Neymar has also been a significant player for the Brazilian national team. He made his debut for Brazil in 2010 and has since played in several major tournaments, including the World Cup and Copa América. Neymar was a crucial part of the team that won the gold medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Despite some close misses in the World Cup, he has continued to be a central figure in Brazil's pursuit of international titles.

When Neymar was transferred from Barcelona to PSG, he cost over two billion Swedish kronor. At that time, he was the most expensive signing ever. Neymar's current contract extends until the summer of 2027. PSG is reported to prefer selling the 31-year-old – Manchester United would rather take him on loan.
