A move to Mexican Rayados

Sergio Ramos - One of football's best defenders

It is said that Sergio Ramos is moving to Mexican side Rayados. Bein Sports claims that he will become the league's highest-paid player. Since last summer, Ramos has been without a club. He left Sevilla - but according to sources, he has now signed a "pre-contract" with Rayados, who are currently tenth in the league. According to beIN Sports, Ramos is expected to earn around 43 million Swedish kronor per year.

Sergio Ramos is one of the most prominent defenders in the history of modern football. Sergio Ramos was born on March 30, 1986, in Camas, a city in Andalusia, Spain. He began his professional career in the youth academy of Sevilla FC and made his debut in the club's first team in 2004. His impressive performances quickly caught the eyes of Real Madrid, who signed him in 2005 for approximately 27 million euros – a record amount for a teenage defender at that time.

During his 16 years at Real Madrid, Ramos became one of the club's greatest icons. He was a key player in a team that dominated both nationally and internationally, playing a crucial role in Real Madrid winning:

five La Liga titles, four Champions League titles, two Copa del Rey titles, and four FIFA Club World Cup titles.

Ramos was known for his goal-scoring ability despite being a defender. His late equalizer in the Champions League final in 2014 against Atlético Madrid is one of the most memorable moments in the club's history. He also became team captain in 2015 after Iker Casillas left the club and led the team with his characteristic passion and determination.

Sergio Ramos made his debut for the Spanish national team in 2005 and quickly became a fundamental part of the team. He was part of Spain's golden era, contributing to the victories in: the European Championship in 2008, the World Cup in 2010, and the European Championship in 2012. With over 180 international caps, he is one of the most capped players in Spain's history and holds the record for the most international appearances for the country.

After leaving Real Madrid in 2021, Ramos moved to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on a free transfer. Injuries limited his play during the first season, but he still showed his class and contributed to the club winning Ligue 1. He later returned to Sevilla FC in 2023 to finish his career where it all began.

No matter where he plays, Ramos will always be remembered as one of the most iconic players in the history of football.
