Chelsea vs Tottenham 2-0

We from Ticket2 were on site to see Tottenham lose

Tottenham seems to be ending the season really badly. The away match with Chelsea was not good; it was a visiting team lacking both confidence and ability against a Chelsea that barely had to make an effort. The final score was 2-0 in favor of Chelsea.

Recently, Spurs were in the hunt for a place in the Champions League, but after three losses, that dream is now distant. Their performance in this meeting was one of the season's worst.

Chelsea's goals came too easily. Ange Postecoglou changed the position of James Maddison. The fans had been calling for this for a long time, and it was a brave decision considering Maddison's status in the team. Dejan Kulusevski also got a chance but hardly managed to impress. Tottenham's attack did not play together, while Chelsea appeared as a talented junior team. Spurs looked like an uninspired former big team, and when they lined up one against three in the far area, it was enough with one Chelsea player to stop them and get a clear goal opportunity.

Tottenham's first half was not good. Postecoglou must desperately find a way to revive the team's captain, Cristian Romero. Heung-min Son was invisible, Brennan Johnson had no luck, and Richarlison seemed lost. The team did not hold together. Postecoglou was obviously frustrated. In the second half, Spurs took control of the game, but still created very little. Postecoglou made a triple substitution in hopes of change, but it did not lead to any major improvements. Chelsea later made it 2-0 after a free-kick rebound, and Tottenham lost further ground.

Chelsea had full control of the match. The confidence that Tottenham previously showed now seems to be gone. When goals come as easily as they did in this match, it's justified to wonder what is really happening at the training facility.
