Arsenal is closing in on Liverpool

Lost crucial points after Alexander Isak scored for Newcastle

It's now very close at the top. Arsenal is closing in on Liverpool, as Manchester United was defeated with two corner goals.

Liverpool, who leads the Premier League, dropped crucial points after Alexander Isak scored for Newcastle in a match that ended 3–3.

At the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal hosted Manchester United, and the first half featured no goals. In the second half, Arsenal demonstrated their strength in set pieces. After 51 minutes, Jurriën Timber headed in the opening goal for the home team, and in the 73rd minute, William Saliba extended the lead to 2–0 – also following a corner.

Manchester United failed to put pressure on Arsenal's defense and left the field with a 2–0 loss. It was the team's first defeat under the new coach Ruben Amorim, and the crisis-ridden team is now in eleventh place in the table.

For Arsenal, on the other hand, it was a successful evening. With three points, the team climbs to third place with 28 points, seven behind league-leading Liverpool.
