Ipswich's first win in the Premier League in 22 years!

"He gave us luck"

Ed Sheeran was at the match between Tottenham and Ipswich this weekend and to everyone's great surprise, Ipswich won with a score of 2-1. 

– He might have brought us some luck, says coach Kieran McKenna.

It has been 22 years since Ipswich won a match in the Premier League. The team has not had it easy, but this weekend they really showed what they are made of. Especially joyful for Sheeran who was present, but also that the team won in the pink away kit, which he helped design. He became a sponsor of the kit in 2021 and at the same time bought a stake in the club. Sheeran later sneaked into the dressing room to celebrate and congratulate the team.

– He congratulated the guys, and everyone knows that he has been an important part of the club in recent years with the support he gives us, so it was nice for him to be here, McKenna says about Sheeran's presence.

Ed Sheeran has been involved with the team and at the premiere against Liverpool, he helped serve pies.

– It's a huge day for the fans to see their club win in the Premier League against such a fantastic club as Tottenham, at such a stadium against such a team, says McKenna.
